When I finished graduate school, I was the heaviest I’d ever been. At 5’4″ I was weighing in at over 212 pounds. I tried diet programs with meetings with limited success, worked out on my own, and did personal training with a trainer at my gym. I even became a Zumba instructor & at one point was teaching 5-6 classes a week. I still managed to maintain my weight around 200 pounds. I really believed that if I worked out, I didn’t need to worry about what I was eating. It wasn’t until I started training with Londa that the pieces clicked. I got nutritional advice from her, cleaned up my eating and started paying attention to the quality and quantity of my food. I was getting body weight training that was functional, High Intensity Interval Training, and accountability from Londa and met a wonderful community of people at the gym. Everyone is welcoming and accepts me and my fitness level. There is no judging or competition with others, only support to become a better stronger version of yourself. Since I started working out I have dropped 55 pounds from my heaviest and can do things I never thought I’d be strong enough to do. Workouts give me energy for my day, and are a priority for me. I am now almost 9 months pregnant, and able to maintain my workouts through my pregnancy.
I know that with the support of Londa, Jon, and Luke and the awesome community of friends at Everybody’s Gym I will be back to my pre-pregnancy weight and stronger than ever in no time!
